Papua New Guinea gets $200m AID Budget from Australian Government
by kumulonline
Australian government aid budget generously puts a $1.3billion on the table for the Pacific Region. Papua New Guinea gets a slice of $200million for high-speed communication cables, some of that money will be allocated to the Solomon Islands as well.
In my opinion, the $1.3billion aid budget is a panic move by the Australian government now after all these years of manipulating and taking advantages of the Pacific region’s economy and the naturals resources. It sees China setting foot right in front of its door steps, a new player in the region’s economy. There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes dealing by Australian government with China’s move to maneuver its huge economical influences in the Pacific region. Papua New Guinea’s look North Policy is easy pass for China.
